OK OK OK I have a confession to make. I STILL have not bought reusable shopping bags for when I buy groceries or pretty much anything else. (Embarrassment, shame, hanging head.) I have always prided myself as environmentally friendly and aware and even wrote a going green plan for an internship. Even my great grandmother used to save plastic bags and weave them into EVERYTHING including pot holders and rugs! (Wishing I inherited that level of craftiness) so being eco friendly is in my blood! Well, I guess admitting it is the first step to doing something about it. The main reason that I haven't purchased any bags yet is that I am super picky and didn't want to settle and buy the generic grocery store bags or something I didn't like 100%. Well, my search is over.
Ru Me is an environmentally friendly fair trade company that makes cute reusable bags for shopping (and you could even double these as beach/gym bags.) The bags come in a variety of sizes and are perfect for grocery shopping. I have posted the pictures of my favorites above but there are many styles and colors. Now I can stop being an impostor eco chick and become ECO CHIC!
