LA Vaycay

Photobucket

My first trip to California turned out to be a smashing success.  (Which also explains the lack of blog post updates!)  We rubbed elbows with celebs, haggled in boutiques (successfully I might add), and experienced (almost) all things LA.  Though I may have gained the weight of a small child on the trip, I am now in love with LaLa Land!  (Side Note: If you ever think it is appropriate to have more than one milkshake in a week, walk away, quickly.  Just.  Say.  No.)

Here are some of the highlights from my LA Vaycay.  I can't wait to go back!

Luck O' The Irish

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone and a top o' the afternoon to ya!  I wish that my visit to Dublin could have been today instead of in October!  Here are some of my favorite St. Patty's day inspired photos from my trip to Leprechaun Land and a little green-spiration for your day.

Hope-ful Jewelry

Photobucket

I am in LOVE with the sophisticated, trendy pieces from Loren Hope Designs.  The designer, Loren Barham, creates unique baubles and bling combining glass, pearls, crystal, gemstones, and quality metals.  Each carefully crafted piece is made by hand, signed, and tagged by Loren.

Photobucket

My absolute favorite piece (it is so hard to choose!) is the clasp pendant necklace.  This versatile and trend setting necklace is truly unique and unlike any style I have seen before.  This necklace offers you the opportunity to purchase one base necklace and then choose from a beautiful variety of spectacular pendants.  Love!

I am so incredibly excited about my new custom designed stationery from Jessica at Front Porch Studio.  Not only is Jessica the designing debutante behind Front Porch Studio, she is also the masterminding maven behind The Love List, my favorite blog.

If you aren't already familiar with Jessica or The Love List, get familiar.  The Love List is a Southerner's style bible!  Check it out for yourself, but be forewarned, you may get addicted!

Today is the day!  I am saying "Sayonara!" to chilly Florida weather and "Hola!" to the warm California sun!  Hopefully I am only days away from getting offered my own TV show, fashion line, or becoming Paris Hilton's new BFF.  Follow me on Twitter to follow along with all the fun!

Hollywood Here I Come!

Photobucket
{Courtney, Kelly, and Yours Truly}

Spring Break 2010 is a blink away and I am going to LA...for the FIRST time!!!  I can't believe that I have never been to LA, or even California for that matter!  My family is of the New York vaycay persuasion and basically every vacation I have ever been on has been to the Big Apple.

I could not be more excited to soak in the California sun, celeb stalk, and pretend that I belong amongst the rich and famous.  I am making the trip with one of my BFF's Courtney who happens to look a lot like Paris Hilton (in the best way possible)...maybe we can use that to our advantage.

We are staying with Kelly, one of our BFF's, who has compiled a master list of all things Cali that we simply must do, see, eat, and experience during our trip.  Check out her list here or comment on this post and let us know if there is anything else you think we should add!  I would love as many tips, recommendations, places to avoid, etc. as possible!

One of the things I am most excited about is wearing all of the things that I can never wear in Gainesville!  I will be my own personal paparazzi and take pictures of all of my daily outfits.  Hopefully I will find some time to post when I am in Cali.  Here are some of my outfit inspirations for the trip!!!

Polished Sense for Haiti

Photobucket

My new friend Jessica from Polished Sense (follow her on Twitter here!) recently sold beautiful earrings on her site to benefit the Haiti earthquake relief efforts.  What a wonderful idea!  (Everyone wins!)  I had to snatch up three pairs...all for a good cause, of course!  Here are the earrings I purchased, I can't wait to wear them!  Check out her amazing site for helpful "how-to-wear's," outfit inspiration, and trendy fashions.

Good LuckXury

I love Etsy.com.  One of the things I love most about Etsy is that I get to connect with independent artisans and purchase beautiful, handmade wares.  Recently I have connected with Tali, the artist behind LuckXury.

Photobucket

Tali is a co-manager of a PR firm in Israel by day and a creative jewelry designer by night.  Her line emerged from a desire for unique, meaningful, and fashionable jewelry.  Tali hand makes each piece, combining turquoise, symbology, and high quality leather.  Each piece is even durable enough to wear in water.

Photobucket

LuckXury believes in creating pieces that bring good energy and luck to the wearer.  This unique concept blends old world ideas with modern, trendy fashion.  The meaning behind some of Tali's charms comes from a unique gift from her grandmother on her wedding day.  (Tali's grandmother placed a clove of garlic in her bra on her wedding day to bring her good energy and ward off evil!)

Photobucket

In need of some good vibes?  Head over to her Etsy shop or website and check out her fabulous and reasonably priced jewelry!  All of my blog readers get 20% off when you mention "Pink" in your message to Tali on Etsy! Not sure which piece to choose?  I have chosen some of my favorites just for you!  I personally think that these bracelets would look great worn with your favorite watch or layered with other mixed bracelets!  (How cool is it that these come all the way from Israel?!?)
